Philadelphia Phillies
While Philadelphia is a good distance away from Clearwater, the city gets a taste of one of the City of Brotherly Love's favorite teams when the Philadelphia Phillies come to town for spring training. The team is the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports. While the team is a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's National League, they prep for every season at Clearwater's Bright House Field.

Clearwater Memorial Causeway Greenway
Hikers love the nearly three mile trek that makes up the Clearwater Memorial Causeway Greenway. This multi-use greenway is a paved recreation trail that features gentle turns winding between the mangroves and other estuarine species as well as some visually compelling landscapes. In addition to paralleling a major highway, the greenway also offers an unforgettable view of the Clearwater Pass.

Clearwater East-West Trail
The Clearwater East-West Trail is an area favorite. This eight and a half mile, multi-use trail winds through several area parks and greenways that offer walkers and hikers a unique view of the city from several highly memorable vantage points. Surprisingly, some of the recreation trail's passages are quite hidden from the everyday hustle and bustle.

Clearwater Lake Loop
Bikers love the scenery and fair amount of challenge that can be found on the Clearwater Lake Loop trail. This ten-mile single track runs through the Ocala National Forest and leads to a remote and reclaimed natural bear habitat. A fair amount of oaks and longleaf pines line this recreation trail which offer some comfortable shade throughout most of the trail.

Florida Trail-Ocala National Forest
Ever since it was constructed back in 1966, the Florida Trail-Ocala National Forest: Clearwater Lake to Juniper Springs has offered a challenging hiking experience to all who hit this sprawling recreation trail. Stretching out for nearly 24 miles, this trail ranges from fairly easy to somewhat challenging and is augmented by the various foliage through which the trail winds.
